Commercial credit reports on companies and their owners

Do your due diligence before you extend terms to a new customer or commit to a supplier or partner. One report brings together bank and supplier ratings, liens, legal actions and corporate status.

  • Experienced investigator per file, not a database snapshot
  • Fully licensed, national credit reporting agency
  • Comprehensive, current and verified information

What a commercial credit report covers

Each report is tailored to what you need to know. A company report can include the items below, and you can add the owners, officers and directors.

  • Corporate profile: legal name, status, officers and directors
  • Partnership and sole proprietorship registrations
  • Current bank ratings, direct from banks and financial institutions
  • Supplier references: balances, credit limits and terms
  • Commercial credit file showing payment trends over time
  • Legal actions and judgments, with case details
  • Real property and mortgages, confirmed from land title records
  • Personal property lien registrations (PPSA)
  • Bankruptcies, proposals, receiverships and CCAA (creditor protection) filings
  • Late payments, NSF (returned) payments and tax liens
  • Liabilities confirmed: loans, credit lines and leases
  • Owners and officers: credit history, assets and liabilities

How a QCR report differs from a database report

Quality Credit Reporting (QCR) is a fully licensed, national credit reporting agency. A database report gives a snapshot of what is already on file. QCR takes an investigative approach and gathers current information for each report.

Common questions

Can the report cover the owners as well as the company?

Yes. QCR reports on corporations, partnerships and sole proprietorships, and on business owners, officers, directors and prospective partners. An owner’s section can include credit history and confirmed assets and liabilities.

Can I talk to an investigator about a company?

Yes. Once you order, QCR assigns a specific, experienced investigator to your file and offers direct, one-on-one help. To ask about a company first, use the phone number at the top of this page, or choose Pricing in the form and the QCR team will reply to your work email.

Who can request a report?

QCR works with business clients. Reports are prepared for commercial purposes, such as setting credit terms or approving a supplier. Before reporting on an owner or officer, QCR checks that the purpose is legitimate. Where consent is required, you are responsible for obtaining it.

What happens after I submit the form?

A member of the QCR team replies to your work email. A sample request gets a sample commercial credit report, a pricing request gets pricing for single reports and tailored packages, and a brochure request gets a brochure.
